In the first quarter of 2024, the navigation and maps category has seen some intriguing trends in Australia. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into how these apps have been performing on the unified platform, combining iOS and Android data.

Google Maps Go experienced a fluctuation in downloads, starting at 40K in the first week and dipping to around 27K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 2.5M mark, with minor week-to-week variations.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic also saw a dip in downloads from 42K to approximately 42K, while the weekly active users showed a slight upward trend, finishing the quarter with 528K, a modest increase from the initial 501K.
